Christmas Moments at Grace Manor

With the move the end of last year, I was so busy unpacking boxes at this time, that I really didn’t feel like unpacking the Christmas decor bins, or decorating in a space I wasn’t fully moved into yet, which all sounded exhausting. Fast-forward to now, a year later, and I’m all settled, and I was definitely decorating for the holidays this year. However, for this year, there was no theme or color consideration or coordination. My singular objective was to simply use everything I already had and not spend a dime on any type of decor whatsoever. After I finished finding spaces for literally every piece of holiday decor I still had (I got rid a lot of the older and less useful things when I moved), I ended up with what I call little “Christmas Moments” set up throughout my home that gave me all the feels of this season. And it went like this…

One of my favorite wreaths on the inside of the front door.
The garland on the home office desk...
I've had this little guy since 2011 and I always find some place to sit him during the holidays.
Less is more in the living room... I love the simplicity of this!
Even with most of the finishes in the house being champagne bronze, this little silver moment works.
Just greenery... I love this view 🙂
The dining table forest of trees...
If I have a dinner party I'll just re-work all of this 🙂
My Charlie Brown trees will always make an appearance somewhere in my home.
Missing you most at Christmastime.

A little slideshow to put it all together...

This is the shortest post I think I’ve ever done, lol! Christmas decor for me, is all about the feeling these little “moments” evoke that make me so happy when I walk through the house; a favorite ornament, a little nostalgia, a certain scent, and just like that, it’s Christmas in my home! I hope you enjoyed seeing these little holiday moments, and please feel free to share in the comments what you do to create Christmas in your space. Until next time…

Ingrid, what a beautiful post. I live next door to your mom & dad’s Chicago home. I remember your mom’s beautiful decor. Blessings…
